Reviews

4.5 stars. Pleasantly surprised. Very modern, new rooms.

Stayed here for a four night stay primarily bec I am a Bonvoy Silver member and it was a good decision. Got updraged from a Classic to a Deluxe (new) room. Very surprised as the hotel looks very newly refurbished (prob is). Rooms are quite big for a European hotel and the bed was very comfortable. Bogs had two sinks... always a winner for me. Esp when traveling with family. just had breakfast there all four mornings which was fine. They don't have tea/coffee facilities in the room but they give you Nespresso vouchers to redeem at the bar which is fine. If you're a post dinner green tea or hot water sort of person then you may find this cumbersome. We had rented a car and they charge for parking as do most hotels in Austria. Euro 19/day. Staff were friendly and helpful and language was not an issue. Nice location too. Walking distance to some restaurants and if you want to have your Sound of Music moment, it's adjoining the famous Mirabellgarten. Just hope for good weather. We drove around the area so didn't use public transport but it seemed to be easy. Uber was always there. Would stay here again bec it was a good hotel and bec of the loyalty points aspect. Didn't use the gym though had a meal at their Italian restaurant which was good. large portions so not your typical European fare.

And the best part... automated potties. Yes. Jet spray at the touch of a button. "Desis" will appreciate this touch.

Excellent stay

We are Bonvoy members and the check in host did a wonderful job greeting us. Customer service excellent our entire stay. Our room was lovely- recently renovated and overlooked the Mirabell Gardens. The bathroom is large and had a great shower. Beds were comfy. The hotel is in a great location to explore the city with the Fortress about a 25 minute walk away through the Alstadt. We did not eat at the hotel choosing to eat in local restaurants in the old quarter. There is a grocery store right across the river right outside the old quarter (maybe ten minute walk) where we got some lovely sandwiches to eat for lunch on our journey. We will definitely stay there again if ever in Salzburg.
