The pro's: Friendly staff that quickly agreed to AARP discount, The kitchenette with regular size fridge is a big plus. Relaxing porch. Asked for a couple of light bulbs that were not working to be replaced which was promptly taken care of. Nice smelling sheets and towels. Mattress was comfortable.
The cons: Pet stains on carpet and mattress corners. Carpet needs to be replaced. Rust on refrigerator. Broken lamp shade. Roaring AC unit.

We did enjoy our stay and the Cape Charles area is beautiful. We will try a different hotel next time.

One night stay

by Jean C

We stayed here for one night prior to our rental home being ready. We decided on this place due to proximity to Cape Charles/Cheriton. Check in was quick and easy, although the office smelled very strong of pets. There are signs that they are a pet-friendly establishment, but the main office should not smell like it as the first impression. We asked for a 2nd floor room so that we didn't have to hear people above us. There is no elevator but that was no problem for us. Our room was clean, large, and comfortable for our stay. There were 2 queen beds and I am always VERY picky about cleanliness of beds, bedding, etc and I found no issues. In fact, I worry due to my skin sensitivities about hotel sheets and these were actually amazing sheets, clean, cool and comfortable! The small kitchen wasnt used by us but would be handy fo4 q longer stay. Full size fridge and bathroom was large. If I recall right there is no fan in the bathroom, which is always a negative, but the lighting was good. Air conditioner worked well but it was quite loud. Not an issue for us as we figure it is a sound machine in places with thin walls! Check out was a breeze as well. Office staff were pleasant both at checkin and checkout.
