The Silver Palms Inn is a contemporary and unique boutique hotel located right in the middle of Key West historic Old Town, making it easy to walk or bike to the attractions on the north and south side of the island and along nearby Duval Street. Families will love the colourful, tropical themed décor that extends from the public areas to the guestrooms and suites. Tropical plants surround a large outdoor saltwater pool, complete with a happening little pool bar. The hotel is just three blocks from Duval Street, where you’ll find all manner of shopping and dining options from early until late, as well as museums and other attractions. A continental breakfast is free for guests. And the hotel also offers a bicycle rental service onsite.

Fabulous!

by Laurie E

This is a great place to stay! The staff bent over backwards for us! The salt water pool and tiki bar were intimate and relaxing. Our room was nicely decorated and super clean.I I was also very impressed to see the amount of maintenance that was being done! There was an army of people washing down the dividers at the pool, painting, washing the pool deck, trimming up the palms...very nice to see ...even though it already looked like it was in great shape!! We are looking forward to another trip in the spring! Thank you!

Warning, hidden resort fee

by L B

I really do not like resort fees, especially if they are not prominently placed on the web site. It is just a way to either trick people into paying more than they thought they would or trick the search engines. Also, to add insult to injury the hotel added sales tax, etc. to the resort fee so the fee worked out to $22.50 per day. The place is a nice motel but not really a resort, there is however parking included. Again, I do not object the to the total price I paid for the stay, I don't think the place is especially overpriced, just that some of the cost of the stay is buried in the fine print.

As to my opinion of the hotel/motel itself. First there is a small pool on the property with a pool bar. We used it while we were there and thought it was nice. The room itself was nice and it was roomy, very pleased with the room. Also, there was a balcony with our room that you could sit on. Our particular room had a terrible view. I didn't pay extra for a nice view so it did not figure into my rating. Given the hotel's location (not close to the beach, etc.) I am not sure any of the rooms would have a particularly nice view however I am sure some would be better than the one we had.

Service was very friendly.

We personally found the location to be acceptable/good. Some of the places we went to was a bit of a walk however it was generally close enough to Duval street and the heart of the old town so that we did not need to move our car once while we were there. You might want to check the various map programs to see if it is close enough to the major spots in town for your needs.

The continental breakfast was so-so however I liked the fruit that was available. I have had better breakfasts at the various chain hotels. It was enough for us to get us through to lunch.
