As its name implies, Summit sits atop a hill offering gorgeous views of Lake Winnipesaukee; yet, it is still within walking distance of all the attractions of Weirs Beach below. Even better, all of its accommodations are spacious family suites, complete with master and kids’ bedrooms, living room with TV and fireplace, full kitchen and washer/dryer. Despite all the extra space and amenities, prices are comparable to single rooms at many area hotels. For those days, you don’t feel like walking downhill, the resort also offers several indoor and outdoor pools (with waterslides), a racquetball court, kids’ playground and game room.

We went to the Summit this Summer and had an amazing time! The kids loved the apartment feel and the space to play. We all loved the indoor pool so much, went every day! We did want to stay more at night though, 10 just seems so early when you’re on vacation, but we do understand.
The only problem I had was that there where no recycling bins anywhere on the property. Had to throw everything into the dumpster. That was heartbreaking to me.
We also visiting the Steele Hill resort, which has so many updates and new features. We hope the Summit will be redone soon as well.
Definitely will come back. Location is everything!
We have visited the Summit a few times for a short (4 day) family getaway. The resort is clean, well appointed and located within a short distance to many fun activities. For example, there is a trail that leads from the resort to a farm that has great trails. You can also head down to the lake, Weirs Boardwalk, or the drive-in.
Also, with young children, we like the shallow, 2', pool with the slide. Our only pool complaint is that the water running for that slide needs to move faster. Other than that, we enjoy spending some time enjoy the area.
