As its name implies, Summit sits atop a hill offering gorgeous views of Lake Winnipesaukee; yet, it is still within walking distance of all the attractions of Weirs Beach below. Even better, all of its accommodations are spacious family suites, complete with master and kids’ bedrooms, living room with TV and fireplace, full kitchen and washer/dryer. Despite all the extra space and amenities, prices are comparable to single rooms at many area hotels. For those days, you don’t feel like walking downhill, the resort also offers several indoor and outdoor pools (with waterslides), a racquetball court, kids’ playground and game room.

This resort has no elevator. Third floor units mean lots of stairs. Indoor pool not for laps but very pleasant. No restaurant. Buy/bring groceries and a dish cloth and dish towel and dishwasher soap (only one packet provided). Clean the kitchen counter before you start to use it. Be sure to wear footwear (slippers, flip flops, etc.) at all times as the carpet hides glass shards, etc. Car is essential to enjoy the area. Unit is spacious and comfortable, nice balcony. Beautiful forest view.

Third time at the summit, always a charm. The address is Laconia but it's not downtown, it's out by Weirs Beach. Sits high on a hill over looking the lake. Gorgeous pool space with small waterslides for younger kids, big hottub. Just a lovely resort, well kept with friendly helpful staff.
