I just returned from 1 week at the Cayena Beach Resort and it was Amazing!!! The service from the moment we stepped on property was incredible. They were extremely friendly and helpful. Carlos and Antonio at the pool/beach bar were amazing. The staff and food at the El Cano restaurant which is part of the Cayena Beach resort was wonderful. The 3 sit down restaurants and the buffet were very good. I am a picky eater but was able to find something that was enjoyable at each place. The seafood and Italian restaurant were my favorite. The steak dinner at El Cano on Friday night was amazing. Our rooms were cleaned and mini bar restocked everyday and they did a great job. I asked for a blanket the 2nd day and it was in our room that afternoon after we had returned from the beach. The grounds were kept beautiful and security was visible. The guests from the VIK Arena Blanca hotel are not supposed to use the Cayena pool or beach so the security is on top of when guests tend to wander over. The only down side was the entertainment or lack there of. We went over to the larger part and never really enjoyed any of the entertainment options. Most were geared towards kids (ie Magic show and circus) and didn't even begin until 9:30. Luckily we brought cards and games and sat either by the pool at Cayena or in our rooms. Other then that small detail I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff or the resort itself. We will return to the Cayena again for sure!!
