I had traveled to Chicago for business and I had stayed here for one night. This hotel was within walking distance of the business office of our client where I needed to go to.
I found the hotel to be very contemporary with beautiful rooms that were very comfortable and clean. There was free wi-fi in rooms or you could sign up for the premium wi-fi if you wanted to. I found the free wi-fi to be sufficient to surf the internet and check email.
The bed and pillows were soft and very comfortable. There is a large flat screen television in the room. The shower had good pressure and was a combo tub and shower. There are free samples of soap, lotion and shampoo in the bathroom for guests. There is a bar in the lobby area as well as a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are also many nearby restaurants within walking distance of the hotel or an short ride by a taxi.
I found the staff to very helpful and they were wonderful to deal with. They were eager to help me when I was checking in or out or needed anything for my room.
The room had additional items that you could purchase if you wanted including wine and various snacks. The pricing for the snacks, mini-bar and wine were on the card provided in the room. I did not use any of these items to have additional items added to my hotel bill.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would recommend it.
I am a big fan of W’s. Nice location, special vibe in the historic lobby, excellent service, but don’t stay in the rooms too long...they are tiny even after a size upgrade. Bath rooms also resemble an airplane bathroom..size wise.
