First opened in 1938 with four cabins, this family-friendly outpost on the water of Orcas Island has grown over the years to include beachfront, ocean view, and garden cottages (all with full kitchens), as well as canvas tents and RV sites. Kids will love the summer activities each day, including scavenger hunts, fishing derbies, and face-painting. The resort also rents motorboats, kayaks, and fishing gear.

We love this place and have been coming here nearly every year since about 2011. Many of the cabins are right on the shore. Each of those has a fire pit, chairs and a picnic table. There are porches with seating and charcoal grills. The kitchen has enough equipment for meal prep whether grilling or cooking inside. There is a nice living room area. The bedrooms are small and cozy. The bathroom is also very small, but for us it all adds to the ambiance. The staff in the office/store are very friendly. We love it here.

The grounds are beautiful with deer walking through. Many amenities for those staying in the cabins. However, there is no dump station for RV'ers. With the minimum stay being 2 days, we found this an inconvenience.
