This new, luxury hotel overlooks Frenchman’s Bay waterfront. Nautical-themed rooms feature private balconies, refrigerators, iPod docking stations, flat-screen TVs and Wi-Fi. The on-site Paddy’s is a unique Irish-Mexican pub serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Although the hotel features a gorgeous rooftop swimming pool, children are not allowed. Instead, families can use the pool at the Bar Harbor Club, which offers a two-story pool house, oceanfront pool, kids’ splash pool. and lockers for storing your stuff.

I want to start off by saying we had a two king connecting room. We were at the corner and we had a main door that opened to a hallway and off the hallway were two separate doors that each opened into a king room with a sofa, table, water view, and bathroom. We were four adults my parents and my husband and I. We had complete privacy and when we wanted to open both doors we could go room to room but still be in a private area with the main door closed. The room was truly amazing and extremely clean!!!! The snack bars on each floor were unreal! Unlimited coffee, tea, hot chocolate, espresso, fruit in the morning and cookies at night! Also let you meet people when you went to make your coffee at the snack bar! Breakfast came with the room and you could either eat at paddy’s restaurant or get room service it was great. I will list some pros and cons.
Pros: extremely clean, amazing rooftop pool, excellent breakfast, spacious rooms, snack bar on floor, robes in room
Con: we are not animal people and there was a dog wondering around with no leash we were totally not into that at all. My husband had an allergic reaction and hotel didn’t carry Benadryl and we talked around an hour because the rite aide closed at 9 ended up at a gas station getting Benadryl. Very dangerous not having something as simple as Benadryl in the little hotel store. The internet service was terrible and we complained about that and the hotel did credit us our resort fee which was very nice of them but bad internet is a huge issue so that is a huge “con”
The West Street Hotel has it all...great location, harbor/ocean views, walking distance to all the great restaurants, and great service. The resort fee gives you access to 3 pools including a gorgeous pool and hot tub on the water at a "sister" property across the street. We went there every day! The vibe is upscale coastal and they take care of every detail, including a pantry on each floor with coffee, unlimited bottled water, and snacks. We went in the Fall and loved walking in to the scent of the Nest candle w/ wood-burning fireplace in the lobby. Daily breakfast at Paddy's (included in our package) was delish...so much food we could have easily split one breakfast. The staff was amazing. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!
