Lovely, quiet and affordable

by they107travel

We arrived in the dark so it was amazing to wake up and see the ocean view from our balcony. The view of the stars at night was also fantastic!

The room was cheery, comfortable and clean. It wasn't the most spacious room ever but it had everything you needed. We spent most of our time outdoors anyway since it was an easy walk to both the beach and pool. The beach was not crowded at all.

We took full advantage of the kitchenette and made all our meals so we barely left the hotel property. There was a table and chairs in the room so you could eat meals there, although often we sat out on the balcony. There is a Keurig machine in the room but only two coffee pods were provided daily so if you're a coffee addict like me you might want to bring your own supply.

The sunset on the beach was gorgeous, but the no-see-um bugs were relentless. This is obviously not the fault of the hotel but it would have been nice to have been warned ahead of time. Not being from the area I didn't understand just how bad the bugs would be in the evening. A fellow guest kindly took pity on us and shared his bug spray.

We only stayed two nights but wish we had stayed a week or more.

Two Night Stay

Affordable get-a-way in a casual setting. Great area for long walks, wide choice of restaurants. Beach lovers will enjoy easy access in addition to the pool. Recommended for local visitors too. Recommend Sanibel Café for breakfast or lunch on Periwinkle in a plaza. I also recommend "Over Easy Café" at the end of Periwinkle.
