Situated on Sanibel Island, West Wind Inn features traditional guest rooms; one king or two queen beds are included in each unit. Some rooms offer mini-refrigerators and microwaves, while other rooms provide full kitchenettes. Connecting rooms are available, and all guests enjoy free Wi-Fi and screened balconies. The hotel also houses a Partner’s Suite.
Families enjoy relaxing by West Wind Inn’s outdoor pool and separate children’s pool, where they can order lunch from The Upper Desk, an onsite eatery. Normandie Eastside Pub, also onsite, offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We live on the East Coast of Florida, but each year we try to take a "summer" break and head to the West Coast when we can. The last two trips we spent at the West Wind Inn enjoying room 219 which has a Gulf of Mexico view but not ocean front. It does have a screened in porch with a pool and grounds view in addition to the gulf. The Inn is always a pleasant place to stay with a friendly staff, on site restaurant, and very nice beach. It's location near the west end of Sanibel Island gives you easy access to Captiva Island and the Ding Darling Nature Preserve. It is also easy to get to the boutique shopping areas and restaurants of Sanibel. Summer deals abound and this year was a pay for three nights, get the fourth night free. Plus a coupon book for savings at other related resorts. Go and enjoy.
We are definitely locals & love to escape here whenever possible?! Well for starters booking the room with Marissa was a super first point of contact & very informative.
I have to say when we checked in-Emily was SO welcoming with an awesome, engaging & fun personality! It really kick started our stay-especially leaving behind the all consuming jobs we have & stepping into a piece of paradise!
Thank you for another great stay & hope to be back soon!
