Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort is a rustic retreat in the gorgeous Smoky Mountains. The resort is set on 70 acres adjacent to the national park, offering easy access to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge attractions, like Ripley’s Aquarium and Dollywood Theme Park. At this resort, families stay in spacious suites with full kitchens, fireplaces, washer/dryer units and whirlpool tubs in the master bedrooms. The most exciting amenity at Westgate is the huge Wild Bear Falls water park. The park includes fountains, slides and pools. Two additional pools and two whirlpools are outside. The Westgate Smokehouse Grill is there when you work up an appetite. Also, parents may want to visit the onsite spa for a hot stone massage or a manicure.

New buildings are excellent! We stayed mid-mountain and the facilities and view were fantastic. The area has rebounded nicely from the fire and we had a great time during our stay. We never lacked for clean towels etc and the beds were perfect.
Of course we cannot say enough about the area. Taste of Italy in Gatlinburg on 321 (away from the strip), Local Goat in PF, and Bennets for pizza were all hits. OF course there is always a sales pitch, but as owners we were able to skip it (they didnt like it, but so be it). This is the only reason we didn't give them 5 stars, would be nice if they just left us alone to enjoy our vacation.

Our 1st national park on what will be many as we travel the country in retirement. A beautiful area. The hotel is on a mountainside with many amenities, including one of the largest indoor waterparks. Not all rooms with great views but ours did. Our week here was lovely. The town of Gatlinburg is a hoot.
