Ideal Hotel Close to Wine Country

We stayed at the Westin Verasa Napa. It was an ideal location in downtown Napa. The hotel had two onsite restaurants. Bank Restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Terrific breakfasts especially the Mexican and Spanish breakfasts. Staff was very courteous and provided great service.

Also, a fine dining restaurant, La Toque, is also located onsite, an outstanding restaurant Michelin Star 2019. Staff and chefs were terrific!

The Marriott Napa hotel concierge, Royce Ann Hawkins, is a gem. Royce suggested and arranged tours to boutique wineries and a private driver / tour guide to drive us to wineries of our choice, since we didn’t have a car in Napa. She also arranged a great driver to drive us back to San Francisco Airport.

All the hotel staff, front desk, cleaning staff, management, concierge were excellent. It made our trip and stay at the Marriott in Napa wonderful. We’ll definitely come back to your hotel the next time we’re in Napa.

Excellent Elite Recognition

Very good location close to the Oxbow Market, a trendy collection of small restaurant spaces within a large building. Walking distance to downtown Napa but there is plenty of free parking in that area if you don't want to walk.
There is a $20/day resort fee that includes valet parking with in/out privileges. There is no self-parking even though you can park out on the street without charge, if you don't want to wait for the valet. It also includes a daily wine tasting in the lobby. During our stay, moderately priced wines were featured (around $30/bottle) so it's not cheap Gallo wine but it's certainly not Duckhorn Vineyards either.
One star off for charging a resort amenity fee, period. I think that is a very unscrupulous trend within the travel industry to do this, especially when the majority of people do not make use of most of the resort amenities. Also, Hilton and Hyatt both specifically suspend resort amenity fees on award redemptions but the Marriott chain does not, so no way to get around that. This hotel is not much of a resort. The small pool and spa area gets so ridiculously crowded on a summer weekend day it was basically unusable.
This hotel started as a condo-hotel (not sure if it still is) so the units all have a kitchenette with microwaves and small fridges, even the "studio" units which are basically the size of a hotel room.
We were upgraded to a 1-bedroom suite (Thank you to Experience Specialist, Jorge Llamas!!) so it was quite spacious, though we faced the front of the hotel directly over the lobby so kinda noisy.

Family Activities

A resort-style saltwater swimming pool is open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. and overlooks a Bocce court and lawn where families can gather to play. A hot tub is also available.

Family Dining

LaToque is the Westin's onsite restaurant, serving locally sourced foods from the chef's on-property garden and area wines from Napa Valley and Sonoma County. The Michelin Star restaurant is open every night from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

BANK Café and Bar
BANK Café and Bar is the all-day café serving LaToque's chef's more casual offerings. This café provides indoor and outdoor seating, as well as lounge dining off of the lobby. Open from sunrise to 11 p.m., in-room dining menus feature foods from the café.
