Ok option for 6 for the price

by Kristi R

We were only staying one night on our way to another area. Hotel needs MAJOR updating! It is in the heart of everything and has SO much potential!!! There were 6 of us and not many other options that many people. They did charge a pretty penny for a room with 3 beds vs a regular room but, again, I only had 2 other choices of motels.
Check in went smooth and lobby very clean. Rooms smelled musty which then had us all feeling that it was dirty. I'll say it again, this motel has SOOOOOO much potential to be GREAT but it just didn't do it for us. The continental breakfast was sub par but it was free so I won't complain too much about that. Negatives out weigh to positives, that's for sure. We will choose this motel as a last one, next time, sadly, until they upgrade.

Fair, has positives and negatives

Positives:. Upon arrival the room was very clean. They had a decent breakfast. Hot and Cold choices. The price was good. There is an elevator which is nice because like everything else in Branson there's lots of hills or stairs. The staff was pretty friendly. And the location was nice for easy access out on the 76 or go out the back way to avoid some traffic.

Negatives: As I said the breakfast had a good selection but the person overseeing it was kind of rude and acted like she did not want to be there. The breakfast is supposed to go on till 9:30 the first day I went down it was 9:27 and the door was locked. The second day I went down was at 9. I got my breakfast and as I was sitting there about 10 after 9 she started putting things away. And as she was doing that she kept looking at me sighing. I went down a few other times and it was a lot of the same. On the last day I went down she actually told people at 9:10 that she was closing at 9:30 and that they would have to be done by then. I felt that was very rude. the next thing that was kind of negative was there's a lot of people that seem to live there. Now they were over in a separate building but they were around. I do believe a lot of the staff live there. I didn't see anything inappropriate going on it's just weird having people living in the hotel. But I understand about seasonal help. The housekeeper was very nice but my room did not get attended to like it should. when I'm staying for long times like I was there, 10 days, I usually want service every other so I put my sign out on the opposite days. I actually only got cleaned twice. I had to call down two times and all they did was bring me towels.I also found the longer I stayed there the more things wrong with the room. The bathroom ceiling tile wasn't completely attached and you could see a little up in there. And I discovered a hole in the wall around one of the outlets.
