We booked this hotel through American Express Fine Hotel and Resorts program. We had many issues booking the room and it required several phone calls to Amex but in the end I think all of the problems were on Amex's end and not the hotel.
When we checked in we were told they needed just a few extra minutes before our room was ready and they would come find us in the lobby. After 30 min of waiting we went back to the desk and they apologized for not finding us to give us our keys. We were upgraded to a suite with a balcony. One of the reasons we booked this hotel was the size of the suites for the price since my husband had to do some work on our leisure trip. The size and elegance of the room certainly met our expectations. There was large wet bar, beautiful desk, and several sitting areas as well. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well every night. We were nervous having a room right next to the elevators but we never heard anything since the suite was so large. The room is starting to show its age despite remodeling. Some light switches were crooked on the walls and some pieces of furniture were in rough shape. The shower door also didn't have a handle from the inside which made it difficult to open and close the door without it slamming. We had a couple of issues with housekeeping. One evening we found we were missing a bathrobe and the shampoo was missing. We called and they quickly brought up the bathrobe but never brought shampoo. Room service wasn't great either. Despite it being subsidized by our package, it was very expensive and poorly organized. For breakfast one morning we received butter and jam even though we didn't order bread but salt and pepper were missing. We called and they quickly resolved it. The most annoying part was that complimentary wifi was extremely slow. It was difficult even to check emails. However we did not have to upgrade to a higher speed during our stay. I used the fitness center a couple of times and enjoyed it. I appreciated them having 2 Peloton bikes in great condition and the room was clean. However due to the slow wifi, it was difficult to get through a Peloton workout without it buffering. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Windsor Court. It has a perfect location that is close to the French Quarter without being in the mess.

The Windsor Court Hotel has to be one of the best choices for a hotel in New Orleans. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location could not be better. Many great restaurants, shopping, and entertainment options are within easy walking distance, and the streets cars are also very close for easy transportation to other parts of the city.
