Poor experience in every way

by VastDifference

Unfortunately this hotel failed us in every way possible. On arrival, and in the check in process we asked to have a Wyndham rewards number added to our reservation. The person checking us in said that this usually happened at the time the reservation is made but he used “usually” in a way that implied it didn’t always have to be done that way. He then clarified that it can’t be done... because he didn’t know how. He made no offer to find a way to make this process happen or get resolved and we were clearly members of this hotel groups program. We got to our rooms and found 4 towels in the corner from the last guest. I don’t know why those were not cleaned up but we did call housekeeping and the towels were picked up but the floors were not cleaned this time or (clearly) last time. Too bad for us. Then we ran in to elevator challenges. We waited over 20 minutes for an elevator to stop at our floor and when it did, it was going in the wrong direction. But we figured an up elevator was better than continuing to wait. We got in, went up, then went all the way down without stopping at our original floor. Who knows, we may still be waiting for an elevator if we didn’t do that. Lastly, no housekeeping services were done on our rooms so the dirty floors stayed and the towels ended up having a terrible must to them. It took 45 min for housekeeping to bring new towels the next morning. At least the location is good.

Nice resort

Great resort and located nicey off off the boardwalk. AC is kind of a rough area in general, so I wouldn't recommend walking around at night. Loved the fact that there were onsight laundry facilities.
