Paradise Point was the perfect place for us. We were 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 2 children, 3 and 5. There was ample room to enjoy in our 2 bedroom apt and many activities to participate in for us and the kids.

We rented a 4 wheel more +bike, played putt putt golf, enjoyed the sharks and other animals around the resort, rented a motor boat to enjoy the bay. The kids swam in the pool, we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores (kits available at the general store at the resort) We ate lunch overlooking the bay.That was all in addition to the activities San Diego had to offer.

We drove all of 5 minutes to Sea World, 15 minutes to downtown San Diego, 20 minutes to La Jolla, and 30 minutes to Lego land. Also close to airport. How great is that! The concierge was very helpful finding us restaurants and shopping areas. The apt was clean, spacious and the grounds were almost like Paradise. This hotel is grossly underrated or was when we stayed there (It was 3 star then and a great value to us)

Ah yes, I remember it well....unfortunately

We drove down from LA expecting a room like the ones you see in the pictures. Instead, we we're sent off to what I can only describe as re-purposed janitor's closet. It was, the single most awful room I have ever stayed in......in my life. I figured more +it had to be a joke, but when I went back to the desk they told me that they we're entirely booked up and this is what they had. The room was so small that there couldn't have been more than 12 inches between the bed and the wall. The bathroom was so small that the sink was outside, stuck in a corner...one of those eensy-weensy sinks. The lamps were hung from the ceilings with old corroded chains circa 1962 because there was no room for side tables. The door couldn't open fully because it was blocked by furniture. The beds and linens we're, shall we say....old. Since we had little ones and it was late, we simply bedded down for the night. The bright side is the pool area. The kids loved it. In any case, we we're out of there toute-suite. Maybe they have decent rooms somewhere, but I didn't see them.
