Overview

Catamaran overlooks Mission Bay, one of the largest manmade aquatic parks in the world with playgrounds, bike paths and sailboat rentals. The Catamaran features more than 300 rooms and suites that are spacious with balconies or patios. Units include plasma televisions, iPod docking stations and free high-speed Wi-Fi. The Catamaran Kids Club provides an educational club, while the hotel offers a number of many family-friendly activities and attractions, including an exotic bird room, arcade, mad science camp and pool. San Diego is also the perfect city for families, with the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld and many beaches and parks. Atoll Restaurant is an award-winning establishment that is known for its Sunday Brunch. If you visit the hotel in the mid-to-late summer, make sure to witness the Summer Sunset Luau — a Polynesian themed party with traditional food and dance.

Great location and beautiful property

by ohen2015

Bottom line upfront: I would recommend this to a friend and would gladly stay here again. The only negative was the construction on the road at the front entrance, but that isn't the fault of Catamaran. The room was nice and it has one of the best gyms I've seen at a hotel of any kind. My family and I loved the water features and the view from our private balcony was a beautiful view of the bay. It's only a short walk to the beach. And, the parking was fairly secure. I really can't say too many good things about this place. Thanks for a great stay!

Fabulous Wedding Reception

by Caroline H

Amber Lighty was the Catering Coordinator and Director who guided us through the labyrinth of planning and execution of a glorious wedding reception for 250 of our friends and family. A few last minute glitches with vendors were settled with ease; the cocktail hour on the lawn was perfect, and the buffet in the Kon Tiki room was delicious. The tropical setting of the Catamaran grounds and suites enhanced the wonderful ambiance of our daughter's wedding. Thank you to Amber, the Banquet Captain Dave Hopper, and the rest of the friendly and professional staff!
