Reviews

What lies beneath...

by Brian S

Was looking for a low cost place to stay for an evening that had decent reviews. At first glance the place seemed to fit our desires and room appeared clean and neat. However upon going to shower late that night, there were a few hairs in the tub and used bar of soap. As other areas of the room seemed cleaned I assumed the hairs came from cleaning personal and they forgot to remove the soap. Next morning when I went to make coffee, there was stagnant water still in the coffee maker that had a film on it. When we left and I checked under the beds to make sure we left nothing, I found additional trash ( old teabag and half eaten mint). Spoke with the manager about what I found, he apologized and he blamed the cleaning person.

What is most disappointing was there was no ask to make things better, offer a partial refund, a credit, nothing! Just felt like "Oh well, too bad, and thanks for your money"

Im a veteran, and live on the Kenai. Drove up to catch a flight out Monday. Went to check out a room for 2 nights. When I arrived to the room it was dirty. There were yellow stains on the pillows and you could tell they don't wash the comforter after each guest departs.

Decided I would sleep in my truck for the 2 nights, asked for a towel for the shower, lady said NO. Asked for an extension cord to borrow....NO. Asked for a pillow....NO.

So no big deal. I go to Walmart, buy a pillow and extension cord, towel...etc. I look at my bank account and noticed I had been charged 135 dollars for 2 nights. It was supposed to be 45 per night to sleep in my truck, which was pretty steep pricing seens how all I would be doing is taking a shower and charging a cell phone.

I go in to question the lady about the additional charge and she says "you've been bothering me all night, if you don't want to stay here just go." Well excuse me for asking about a mistake YOU made. Horrible customer service, dirty rooms, and in a very unsafe and trashy area of town. Lots of homeless people wandering around and I heard reports of other theft from guests. Ill take my business elsewhere.
