My husband and two sisters stayed one night in a the two-bedroom suite at the Embassy Suites in Anchorage. The hotel was spotless, the beds were clean and comfortable. The staff was so professional and helpful. The breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. I can't say enough about the hotel. There was a shuttle that took us downtown so we could take a "city tour." We will definitely stay at the Embassy Suites in Anchorage if we visit in the future. The only negative was the noise right below our hotel room from a party and it was LOUD. We called the front desk and told them we had scheduled this hotel room back in January and was there something they could do about the noise and they were NOT helpful in that regard.
Stayed one night mountain view two bed premium suite. Pricey but it broke up the "roughing it" parts of our trip while heading from Denali to Seward. I'm so glad we did not do that drive in one day! The laundry was fast and the laundry room itself was spotless. Our room was all that we needed: spacious, clean, and a door separating beds from living room to let some sleep in a bit. Loved the breakfast (all our other AK breakfasts costs us $60-80 for four people), the strong wifi, the newspapers. The hotel front desk staff were friendly at check in and helpful with laundry quarters ($2.75 per wash and per dry (big loads)); soap sold in hotel shop for $2 a load. 30 mins to wash, 30 mins to dry - quick. Free parking in large lot in front of hotel. Right downtown - close to restaurants, Walmart (for our re-stocking before Seward) and decent gas prices. I'm glad we stayed here! Oh, and thanks for snack basket Embassy Suites! I know we paid for it, but it was a nice unexpected touch.
