Traveling from puerto Vallarta to the states with two little dogs

by CarrieE617

Well just because you travel with dogs should t. Eat you get the crumbiest dirty and mosquito ridden room! Y dogs when right to the corners where many dogs have probably used it to pee on. The beds were dirty and even have someone name etched into the headboard. I killed about five mosquitoes in the bathroom before I said we cannot stay in this room! I was ready to leave. I went to the front desk and complained and they gave us a room next room. Night and day rooms. This one was updated, but still had mosquitos. They sprayed the room while we were out, but still had plenty of bites during the night and let’s hope we don’t catch dengue! No internet at all even though they say they do. No English channels as well. And one light in the room which was like a small desk light between the beds. No outlets to use by the bed. The outlet by the t.v. Didn’t work. If you need a CPAP machine you need a long extension cord to the sitting area to use a working plug. Couldn’t wait to get out of the place. And YES they charged us 300 p for each dog! I hope my dogs don’t get sick either from all the mosquitoes, and a 500.00 deposit for the dogs. They should have refunded us the money for such a mosquito ridden place! Go to the other hotel in town that takes dogs. We should have gone back to the other hotel on our way back to Puerto Vallarta. It was much cleaner and nicer and in the golden zone.

Avoid if possible

The only positive thing about this hotel is that it is pet friendly. The bad news is they charged 300 pesos for this privilege. This exorbitant fee even after an inspection upon departure showing no damage!
Our room was old and in need of repairs. The curtains were falling off the rod, the drawers wouldn’t open. The pillows were lumpy. The sheets were old and dingy looking. The bathroom was in dire need of a renovation.Very depressing place. When this was discussed at the front desk all we got were smiles from the staff ( who did converse in English quite fluently up to that point).
The waiter was pleasant and the housekeeping and security staff were very nice. This is a fabulous location and it is a shame that the place is so run down.
