The location of this throwback Western-style motel couldn't be better for those who want quick access to the Park to pursue their favorite activities and not have to drive through town to get back to their immaculate lodging to relax in the pool and hot tub. This place has been fully updated since our last stay in 2016 and is visually modern and sleek but retains its homey appeal. But somehow in the upgrade, they eliminated the options for people to hang their outerwear, whether it be wet hiking jackets from the trail or sports jackets for a function in town. There's still a coffee maker, microwave and even a bigger fridge, but they removed the small table and surface area to make and eat a snack or prepare a sandwich for the trail ( hint: you can use a glass tray from the fridge and put it on the ironing board for a clean surface to prep and eat) They even upgraded the practicality out of the bathroom by removing the toiletry shelf in order to put in a stylish but oversized mirror and there is only one short double hook to hang things while showering. Adding a couple of shelves, a smaller mirror, hooks, hanging rods and surface areas would make this place not just beautiful but also practical for on-the-go people who want to use this motel as a base to explore the mountains and town.
Quiet little motel on outskirts of Estes Park downtown. Beautiful Alpine views of mountains outside the rooms. Recently renovated, very clean room equipped with fridge and small drip coffee maker. Firm mattress and 3 fluffy bed pillows. Small table & 2 chairs in room. Air conditioner and a heating unit in room keep the temperature how you like it. Safety bars in bathroom are a nice feature. Tap water runs on the warm side. Bench or chairs if you have a balcony in front of room to enjoy fresh air and scenery. Book early! No vacancy while we were here.
