Help your kids reel in a big one at this community gathering spot, the largest pier on the Gulf of Mexico. In summer, the possible bounty ranges from whiting, pompano, redfish and red drum to Spanish mackerel and King mackerel. In winter, whiting and sheepshead are common catches. Anglers ages 12 and up must purchase a fishing permit. Kids under 12 fish free with a paying adult. A saltwater fishing-license (available at the Pier office) is required for those ages 16 and up.

Cool place to check out. We were able to see large water birds, large sharks, several stingrays. They have a place to get snacks and drinks as well as a bait shop/store.
One of the best fishing piers.very long with rest rooms half way out. Plenty of benches to sit,and lots of places to fish.
