Overview

While this popular Langkawi hotel isn’t oceanfront, it’s right in the commercial district of Kuah and a quick five minutes from the jetty where boats go to and from the mainland. The 282 rooms have sea views or town and hill views and amenities such as coffee and tea making facilities, mini-bars and fridges and in-room safes.

Nice stay

by Prigyan

Booked delux hillview room for a family for 2 adults and 2 kids, was spacious even with one extra bed for kids. One Bed accomodated both my kids of 8yr and 9 yrs. breakfast spread is good, has Malayan, Indian and Chinese dishes along with fruit and veggie salads, croissants, eggs, breads etc. clear penalty for wasting food is displayed which is good step for the environment. Bathroom has a faucet, good shower and a bathtub. 2 Free water bottles are provided daily. We had Indian Dinner in banana leaf at their restaurant which was pretty filling, reasonably priced and good except for fried fish. Fried fish was big but had a very strong flavour to it which I am not used to. Rice and fish curry was great. Open Pool on fourth floor was good, open 7am till 7pm but gets pretty hot in noon.
Near by:
1. This place is very near to a restaurant Spice Road which serves very tasty and reasonably priced Indian and Yemenese cuisine. We tried chicken and mutton hyderabadi biryani, good quantity and awesome in taste, comes with gravy and onion mixed curd (raita).
2. Has a night market close by every Wednesday and friday. Good to try some local street food.has clothes and footwear as well but didn’t find the collection great.
3. Close to the jetty for island hopping tour, 5-10mins drive.
4. Duty free shops and souvenir shops and many restaurants at 5-10mins walking distance.

Would recommend if you want a good stay conveniently placed for site seeing, eating and shopping. This hotel is not close to any beach.
