One of Anna Maria Island’s most charming properties, it is the ultimate in “cottage chic.” Its historic, lattice-trimmed units evoke the Caribbean in a garden setting on the beach. Seven of its 16 beachside bungalows have sofa beds and sleep up to four; the cottage across the street sleeps six.
Each bungalow has either a mini-bar kitchenette, efficiency, or full kitchen. Some have whirlpool tubs. All bungalows have a private entrance and exits. Some are stand-alone cottages while others share a building. With a pool and feel of barefoot elegance, Bungalow Beach Resort is the epitome of beachside abandon.

The beachfront room had a beautiful view of the beach through the pappas grass, we even were able to see the turtle eggs hatching! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. An overall lovely experience!
We stayed here on two occasions this month and enjoyed our stay. If you are looking for a sleek resort, this is not the place. If you want a classic beachfront cottage, this is it. We stayed in Hibiscus, a beachfront and we loved it. Stroll to the beach for a pre-breakfast swim in beautiful clean water. The staff were welcoming and gracious and handled any special request. You can walk down the beach for dinner.
