Overview

Located on the Gulf of Mexico, this charming beach resort is the sister resort to Tortuga located across the street. The 33 one-bedroom pastel-colored cottages line the resort’s street and feature a full kitchen with full size refrigerator, a living room with a queen sleeper sofa, a shower/tub combo in the bathroom and private porch or verandah. Two-bedroom cottages can also be found on the property along with a studio suite. Hit the guest laundry facilities so you won’t have to bring home any dirty clothes. BBQ grills and picnic tables are scattered throughout the resort as well making dining al fresco fun and easy. Bring your four legged family members along too because this resort is pet friendly. Families will love being within walking distance to the beautiful sandy beaches, a fishing pier situated in Sarasota Bay and the resort’s heated outdoor pool. Tour the island on the free trolley or visit the many restaurants a shops.

Updated and perfect view

by 77leighp

We stayed in #23, a 2ba, 2bd apt overlooking the bay. Updated and modern, right next to the pool, full kitchen, lots of room for my family. We will book again! The amazing view from porch and private dock were icing on the cake. We saw dolphins swimming in the bay both days we were there. Staff made check in and out a breeze. It was perfect with kids- the beach axes for the hotel was right across the street. Trolly stops on both sides of the street very close to hotel entrance. We loved our stay here and didn’t want to leave!

Home away from home

I stayed at tradewinds from February 1-April 8th and didn’t want to leave. This is such a beautiful and friendly place that if I were going to move anywhere
This would be it. I am already excited about my two month stay next winter!
