Overview

For a truly off-the-beaten-path vacation experience, your family will love the Cabins on the Bluff on the Kenai Peninsula. You’ll have Alaskan wilderness at your back and beautiful blue ocean stretching out in front. You’ll also have an exquisitely clean log cabin that has all the comforts of home. Ideal for a large family is Cabin #5, which has three bedrooms, two with queen beds and a third with bunk beds. Each cabin is newly built, and features a covered porch, fire pit, full kitchen, washer/dryer and spacious living room. These charming cabins really do sit on a high bluff above a remote stretch of pebble beach. It’s a great place to watch for wildlife, from bald eagles in the trees to moose on the nature trails. The owners prepare the fire pit each day so you can enjoy a roaring bonfire after a day of fishing and hiking. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, satellite TV and gas grill.

The Cabins on the Bluff are in a quiet, isolated area about a mile off the main highway between Soldotna and Homer. It’s perfect as a base of operations to explore all that the peninsula has to offer. You’ll have easy access to world-class salmon fishing on the Kasilof River or deep sea halibut fishing on Cook Inlet. Kids will love digging for clams on nearby beaches, but they’ll be absolutely thrilled with dip netting, which involves fishing for salmon with a giant net. The cabin owners are happy to set your family up with their trusted partners for bear viewing, glacier cruises and fishing charters. You can stock up on groceries in Soldotna, 25 miles to the north, or at one of the small mercantiles within several miles of your cabin. If you’re looking for the best of everything for your Alaskan wilderness vacation, Cabins on the Bluff fits the bill.

Beautiful place to stay

by U8428SJmarkr

This is our second time here and love this place. We had sunny days and could see the volcanos each day. We rented the big cabin and really loved all the space. It has every item you need for cooking. If you are looking for a great place to stay these cabins should be your choice in this area.

Stayed at cabins on the bluff in clam gulch, Alaska for 5 nights. The cabin was clean and well furnished. The owners didn't spare any expense. Cabin has large tv with satellite service, stove, fridge, dishwasher, washer, dryer, and outdoor grill. A fire pit is outside that the owner sets up the wood in everyday. Awesome view across the Cook Inlet of mountains and volcanos. The city of Soldotna is about a 20 minute drive. Definitely will go back again
