Great location in the center of the action in town for Dias de los Muertos

by zeromd

We stayed in this lovely hotel during the Dias de los Muertos festivities for 2019. Because of high demand and it being a busy season, we had to book our reservation by January earlier in the year to be able to secure a room. We were lucky enough to book 1 of their 7 rooms. Location cannot be beat. Hotel is along the main walking street of the city center, so you would be right in the center of the action. If your intention is to partake in the celebrations (you could even watch the parades from your balcony), then this hotel would be it. Don't expect peace and quiet during the night time if you are staying during the dead days though - although the loud music from the streets did not seem to prevent us from having restful sleep. All the staff are very friendly and hospitable. Special mention to Julia who was a big help in making last minute arrangements for transport, tours, and restaurant reservations during a busy season. Free bottles of water everyday. Breakfast offers good choices, and some traditional Oaxacan items. For some reason, I do not feel my review is really doing this place enough justice. Overall, looking back also at many other hotels we've stayed at during our travels, we felt this one offered really good value and offered personalized attention and service.

Fabulous Gem in the heart of Oaxaca!

The staff are increasingly friendly and go out of their way to make you comfortable. The breakfast is included and delicious, including a mole tamal to die for! The rooms are spacious and have double glass to protect from noice. This hotel is 2 min away from everything, from restaurants to Zocalo to Santo Domingo!
