With “Christmas” in the name, it’s got to be special, and this farmhouse-turned-luxury resort doesn’t disappoint. On the outside, it’s all New England charm, with a white clapboard farmhouse built just after the Revolutionary War and a collection of quaint cottages throughout the grounds. Inside, however, the accommodations are the height of modern luxury, featuring gas fireplaces, Jacuzzi tubs, flat-screen TVs and deluxe kitchens.
The resort offers a bewildering range of accommodations, from double rooms in the main house named after Santa’s reindeer to freestanding cottages to studios in the barn built especially for families, with rustic lofts and room for up to eight people. The glassed-in pool and fitness building includes an indoor pool and hot tub, as well as a seasonal outdoor pool. The onsite restaurant features a more extensive-than-usual kids’ menu that includes schnitzel and steak, along with the usual chicken fingers and spaghetti and meatballs. Packages to Story Land and — of course — Santa’s Village are available.

While in the North Conway area, we opted to give this place a try. It was a lovely evening. We were under-dressed, so sat at the bar, in the pub, as opposed to the very quaint dining room. The entire staff was warm and welcoming, the food was exceptional, and reasonably priced, considering the location. I had the tenderloin tips, my husband had braised lamb shank, a special that evening. Both meals were delicious, and more than we could eat. The bar was extremely well stocked, a pleasant surprise. Monica, our server was great, and Gary, the owner, stopped by to introduce himself. All in all, a very nice night.

Christmas Farm Inn Restaurant has a great 2 for 1 deal on Mondays. We had the Beef Tenderloin with demiglaze sauce, roasted finger potatoes & fresh vegetables. It was delicious. Highly recommended if you are in the Jackson area.
