Overview

The Comfort Inn Beach/Boardwalk Area offers families 30 guestrooms with king or queen beds, mini-fridges, microwaves, coffee makers, free Wi-Fi and cable TV. The largest accommodations can sleep up to six with a sofa bed, and rollaway beds are available for rooms with a king bed and a sofa bed, for a total of five. Enjoy a dip in the onsite pool or head to the beach for a day in the surf and sand. The beach and boardwalk are just steps from the hotel and offer games, rides and attractions for families, like the Wharf and Boardwalk Bowl. The boardwalk also has dining options, which helps as the Comfort Inn does not have an onsite restaurant. Nevertheless, a free hot breakfast is served daily.

Nice hotel, great hotel staff. Hotel management/staff very helpful and took care of all our questions and needs. Nice location and clean room and felt safe. Parking is available on site. We will return to this hotel in the future. Thanks?

Failure to get room and contact hotel

I’ve Ben using Choice Hotels for several years now. Usually, all goes well, but recently it hasn’t. I use TripAdvisor frequently to give my compliments and complaints. This review is more to let Choice Hotels know my experience.

While planning a trip to the coast, I used the Choice Hotels app and made reservations for San Jose. No problem. Then I tried to make reservations for this hotel. When I confirmed the purchase, the message came back that my info was not correct with my charge account. I reviewed the info, tried two charge numbers, but to no avail after 6 or 7 attempts. I tried calling hotel. No answer. I tried calling Choice Hotels and got a foreign call center. The rep didn’t listen to what I was saying and kept asking questions that would help him locate the problem in the manual. I hung up. My husband called the charge card and they said nothing was wrong on their end. The charge was approved, several times, but was kicked back. They called Choice Hotels and got the foreign call center. They had as much luck with the different rep than I did with the first rep. Needless to say, we booked with a different hotel chain.
