I've stayed here on several occasions and my last visit was disappointing. When I tried to check in, the staff was busy on their phone. I was not recognized as a Titanium member and offered one small bottle of water. My card key did not work properly when trying to access the door leading to the elevators and the person at the bar who let me in told me many people have this issue (so, not sure why this is not fixed). I was given a room on a low floor facing the street and there was the sound of garbage trucks from the evening to early morning, which did not allow me to get a good night's sleep. I did go back downstairs to ask fro extra water and the clerk on the night shift was quite nice sand went to the back to get me a couple of bottles of water and apologized on behalf of his associate who checked me in. The hotel is quite a hike from transportation and 58th St. between 10th and 11th avenues where this hotel is located is not well lit, so I would suggest late night revelers to be careful when returning to the hotel at off-hours. I'm not sure I'll go back following this experience as stay loyal to the Bonvoy brand, but feel like they don't really care about my business.
We stayed here for a week and for the most enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean and because it’s not right on a main road there is not a lot of street noise. The front desk staff were very attentive and helpful. The only negatives were
1.the slowness of the elevators which often resulted in having to go by stairs if you didn’t want to wait 10 minutes.
2. Breakfast is served very early. Closes at 9 am promptly. 9.30 on weekends.
I must add though that the breakfasts were very good with something for everyone.
I would definitely stay here again.
