Overview

Completing a $20 million plus renovation and restoration project and overlooking Copley Square, the Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston offers luxurious rooms and suites just steps from a plethora of family fun and entertainment in downtown Boston. From the historic Freedom Trail to the aquarium to Quincy Market, it’s easy to keep busy sightseeing and find plenty of kid-friendly eateries.

In addition to the usual standard amenities, all rooms include 46-inch flat-screen TVs, wireless Internet, and plush bathrobes for kids, too. Cribs are available at no charge and cots are provided for $25 per night. All babies and tots receive an Ollie the Otter stuffed animal, no-tears hair wash, cleansing soap, toothbrush and toothpaste, bubble bath, and gentle lotion. Special treatment is given to guests selecting the Fairmont Gold experience on the fourth floor.

The onsite restaurant is definitely a white-linen tablecloth experience, but kids ages 5 and under eat free off the children’s menu and kids ages 6 to 11 eat for half price off the regular menu; room-service is also available. Babysitting can be arranged for $15 per hour through Parents in a Pinch, so mom and dad can enjoy an evening on the town.

Wedding reception

by PatriciaL4531

We had the grand ball room, the amenities and service were amazing. The rooms are older as it is a very old hotel, but they are elegant and classy. The architeture is beautiful and well cared for.
Everyone of the staff was pleasant, and welcoming. It is in a great location
next to the Prudential and Boston Public Library.

A few minor points

by David K

This is an older hotel which has been very elegantly renovated. Overall I rate it highly and have no major concerns. Small points of concern: the breakfast bar is sparse compared to other hotels of a similar quality. The bed is the highest I have ever slept in and my feet couldn’t touch the floor when sitting on it. The bathroom is cosy, with limited shelf space for two people.
