Reviews

great location to stay in NYC

by Sam S

Pros:
clean
small nice hotel ( this not a boutique hotel)
only 4-5 rooms per floor
not a large room, but did have sufficient space room; had 2 comfortable queen beds, enough pillows and towels.
Great location
The staff is very friendly and helpful
WiFi strong signal
local Bar & Kitchen (The Blacksmith) with good craft beer

Cons:
a busy hotel and noisy

Friendly staff but smelly rooms and old feel

by BostonGirl4799

I stayed here 2 nights for work. Location is good in the heart of the city and close to subway stations. Check-in was easy and staff here is very friendly.

Rooms leave a lot to be desired. Namely, everything smelled musty and old. Even the towels smelled bad. It's like they need to put air freshners in the room because the AC/Heater does not help the smell.

Also, felt the common areas could have been updated a bit. It's one of the more affordable hotels compared to others but it was still close to $400 a night on a busy weekday and you don't get much.
