Good location, Great hotel

We were looking for a place that was reasonably priced and close to trains and the bridge. This HI is well maintained and stylish. We were here for 4 nights and had a very nice, spacious even (compared to Manhattan certainly) room overlooking the front street- we were high up and had a great view of Brooklyn and mid town.
Subway was a short walk (5-7 minutes). Lots of great restaurants and shops close by. Staff was friendly and helpful.

If you have to loose something in a hotel, this is the one to do it in! Great customer service!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Brooklyn for two days, and before leaving, had lunch at their restaurant. Forgot our expensive camera there, and with little hope of recovering it, we called the front desk from the airport, as soon as we realized it was missing in our hand luggage. Talked to an agent called Carlos, who was very helpful and very nice, who told us someone had turned it in. We had a couple of conversations over the telephone and a few emails, and Carlos took care of arranging for the camera to be sent to our home in Illinois. I have not received it yet, this happened 3 days ago, but I am so pleased and so impressed by his attentiveness and desire to help that I cannot say enough about him.
Thank you, Carlos, and thank you, Holiday Inn for hiring people like him.
