Top notch service--and wonderful location!!

by snooziex

My husband I stayed here on our recent vacation. The room, while not having anything extra, had everything we could need. The service, food and drinks were among the best I have ever had at a hotel--from offering to dry our wet suits for us, bring us a blanket during meals when it was chilly and anything else that we could possibly need. The fact that it is located across a little boardwalk from a beach that was constantly full of sea lions made this the perfect place for us!!!

Not worth the money - BEWARE

I don’t mind paying for luxury hotels, but Golden Bay unfortunately ain’t one.

A room called “Partial Ocean View Room” has a view of a dump and some abandoned construction materials (see photo) - all of this for USD 480.99 per night.

Ants in the bathroom (already noted in other guests’ reviews), no kettle, no minibar, just a pretty bare room.

You can’t escape the feeling of being completely ripped off.
