We received an excellent deal on our trip through a timeshare presentation offer. We upgraded to the all inclusive package and were booked at the Oasis Palm. That being said, the "resort" was significantly lower than any expectations. Let's start with the room. The initial room we received was basically a motel room. Beyond sparse, broken tile, crumbling wood on the dresser, a shower head only 5 feet high. We choose to spend over double the initial cost of our vacation to upgrade our room to the "Grand Oasis Palm." slightly better. At least we could shower. We were told we could not upgrade to any room with a balcony because the rain was leaking in. (We noticed rain leaking in several spots throughout the property in fact) But the new room was OK. We made the best of it, even though we were not allowed to use the coffee maker without paying another upgrade fee. We found this out later, when we were told that despite our upgrade, we still did not get room service, our included access to the a la carte restaurants on the resort. So, wanting to enjoy our vacation, we sucked it up and paid the cost. Now, I will say this dinner is the one of two reasons there are two stars here instead of only one. The second was the massages we received. I will note, the entry to the spa might have been beautiful, but it seemed to be a pool with no water in it, leaving an awkward walkway. Also wifi was not part of the all inclusive package.
Upon arrival, we were told to download and use the resort's app in order to figure out the hours of the restaurants. The app was incorrect in several instances, with most restaurants only open 3 hours. Also, nowhere to get food and drinks together after 10 pm.
I can give examples of both positive and negative experiences with staff. I don't remember names. Concierge was kind and helpful. Waitstaff in the buffet restaurant were horrendous, as was the food.
Late night "activities" only 5 nights a week.
If you are looking for a discounted experience that feels cheaper than the costs that continue to add up... Here you go. Otherwise, skip this one in favor of ANY of the other resorts in Cancun.
Oh yeah. And the safe in our room had no lock.

I was so worried about making this trip great for my bestie of 15+ years, but when we got to the hotel I was taken away with the view and how nice everybody was. The food is good there ranging from tapas to buffets. But there was one person who made the trip even better for my bestie and I...... Jesus! Omg he is the greatest ever....so relatable. He rocked it when it came down to places to sightsee, food, entertainment.... just great. He was also a great hostess for some of the events at the resort. Thanks for a great trip in Cancun, we'll be back!
