Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, this all-inclusive Cabo resort is expansive and offers plenty for families to enjoy. Kids will love being greeted with a golf cart ride to the room and parents will love the availability of a kitchenette or fully equipped kitchen in their suite.
There are a variety of suites and villas to choose from at this all-suites resort, and they vary from a studio to a four-bedroom unit.
There are several pools for guests to enjoy, including a kiddie pool that is situated right next to a large grassy area with a playground, trampoline and splash pad.
You won’t find the typical (and often repetitive) all-inclusive buffets at this all-inclusive resort. The food here is outstanding, fresh, local and always changing. Hacienda Encantada has a sister resort, Marina Fiesta, located about 15 minutes away in the downtown marina. All-inclusive guests who are staying at either resort are welcome to dine at the restaurants at either resort. The all-inclusive package is also optional at this Mexican resort, so if your family prefers to get out and explore, a la cart/pay as you go options are available.
With theme nights, daily activities, free Wi-Fi, fire pits and horseback riding, families will love a stay at Hacienda Encantada in Cabo, Mexico.

My cousins and I do a girls trip every year - and this year Cabo San Lucas was our destination!
This resort was very nice, clean and well run!
Upon arrival & check in; we were escorted to our suite be Eric who was very hospitable and became a great resource to us during our week long stay. Eric picked us up several time shuttling us to and from our building and was a great resource for us with all of our questions regarding travel outside of the resort.
Unfortunately while we were there a major rain storm rolled though on Saturday night resulting in the flooding of downtown Cabo. We were advised by resort staff that it wasn’t safe to travel downtime due to flooding and mud. This caused us to miss a dinner we had planned Sunday night (with the assistance of the very helpful concierge desk) at a downtown restaurant. As a result we where stuck on the resort as the rain continued to come down Sunday evening, and into the night.
Luckily our building was located directly in front of one of the resort’s outdoor restaurants. The staff working at the restaurant remained professional and accommodating as they worked through the on pouring rain. SPECIAL THANKS here to Axel who offered to place to-go orders for us at the Italian restaurant on the resort (which requires a prior reservation) when we voiced our frustration of limited eating options due to the rain. Axel brought us menus, took our orders and delivered our to go meals so we could return to our room to eat out of the rain!!!
I know the resort was short staffed on Sunday due to staff not being able to commute to work because of the Saturday night flooding - I must say that the staff that were on duty Sunday maintained the same leave of professionalism, customer service and hospitality through the circumstances!
My only real complaint relates to the breakfast buffet:
Breakfast is served in an outdoor dinning room and it was frustrating sitting in HUMIDITY (aka sweating) eating while swatting flies and brazen birds flying around. Apparently only guests on the timeshare tours were able to eat in the air conditioned dinning room for breakfast. I’m grateful that we had purchased milk and cereal and were able to eat that in the comfort of our own room some days.
I was very happy overall with the resort and would stay again and recommend to a friend!
Just posting a few pics of our views and some of our resort food - no facial recognition pics to protect “the innocent”. ????
We hit an odd time with heavy rains the first two days.
Very few people seemed to be here and there were limited eating options. Staff seemed a bit off.
Dinner at Riscos was fine but really slow service
Grounds and Facilities are nice
Activity director was fantastic even though he had to work around the small numbers.
Fernán was really fun and very supportive of all the kids. He was careful with them, and he made them individually feel special.
He got water volleyball games going by bringing in people who might not normally feel comfortable playing and made it light and fun.
We all 3 really liked Fernán
At the kids pool, Armando provided good drink service
There are a variety of pools to choose from at Hacienda Encantada. The Activities Pool always has something going on with fun family-friendly games and music always playing. There is an adults-only pool with a swim-up bar that overlooks the ocean, and a kiddie pool situated next to the playground.
There is also an exclusive pool for guests who are staying in the Encanto Suites building. At this private pool, there are hammocks and pool beds to enjoy. Kids, who are staying in the Encanto Suites, are welcome at this pool, but it does tend to be quieter here.
There are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas surrounding all of the pools and complimentary pool towels are provided with your pool card. The pools also have restrooms situated nearby, and a restaurant or bar located onsite as well.
Playground and Kiddie Pool
The kids' playground area, with swings, a slide and trampoline, is situated next to the kiddie pool. Kids will love this area. There is a large splash pad that is hard to resist, with water buckets always dropping water. There is a large grassy area for running and playing corn hole, along with a giant chess board and foosball table. The kiddie pool is zero-entry and plenty of chairs surround the area as well.
The resort overlooks the beautiful Pacific Ocean and the famous Cabo Arch is visible in the distance. Guests have access the beach to get a better view, but it is a non-swimmable beach. There are large rocks and stones situated along most of the coastline in Cabo and the waters are quite deep, making most of the beaches non-swimmable.
Horseback riding is available onsite once a week, on the hour from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Families will love to take a ride through the desert and see the Cabo San Lucas Bay.
Activities and Kids Programs
During high season, families will find plenty of activities happening at the activities pool. The activities director is always getting the kids involved and playing games and crafts with the kids at the pool or surrounding areas. While there isn't a dedicated kids' room, daily, kid-friendly activities are always taking place.
Sunset boat cruises, hiking adventures, city or diving tours can also be arranged by the concierge.
Tennis, basketball and pickle ball courts can be found on the property and are included in your stay. The courts are also available at night, but there is an additional charge at night for the use of the court lights.
There are a variety of restaurant options to be found throughout the resort, and all are included in the all-inclusive package. The only buffet is during breakfast. Reservations for dinner are required.
Guests have the option of including an all-inclusive package. This includes unlimited alcoholic beverages and meals at the onsite restaurants, as well as the marina restaurants at the sister property, Marina Fiesta. Soda, beer and bottled water are also stocked daily in the suites with the all-inclusive package.
This Italian restaurant is situated within the Encanto building area, but all guests are welcome to dine here.
This pizza spot features wood-fired pizzas and is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The delicious breakfast buffet is located here in the mornings and features an omelet station. Las Marias is open from 7 a.m. to noon.
This fine-dining restaurant features Mexican cuisine for dinner only. Children over the age of 12 are welcome to dine here.
Located near the pool, sushi and ceviche are available here.
Located above Las Marias, the views from Los Riscos are the best for a sunset dinner.
Located by a pool and a fire pit lounge area, tacos and tequila tasting can be found here.
This pool snack bar is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Room service is always available but there is an additional cost even with the all-inclusive package. However, there is a 40-percent discount on room service with the all-inclusive package.

All About the Extras
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort. An upgraded Wi-Fi option is also available for an additional cost for things like streaming and downloading video.
Certified babysitting services are available for hire.
An airport shuttle can be arranged for guests at cost, and there is a $5 shuttle that runs hourly to the sister resort Marina Fiesta.

The Art of Smart Timing
It's always a good time to visit Mexico, but peak season runs from about October through May, with January through March being the busiest at this resort. The summer months are often slower and hurricane season tends to run from September through early October.
The Los Cabos International Airport is located in San Jose del Cabo and about a 40-minute drive from this resort. An airport shuttle can be arranged with the hotel for an additional cost.
The resort is quite expansive and still growing. There are sidewalks and paved areas, making it easy to walk around the resort with strollers. But there are also golf cart taxis readily available to take you anywhere around the resort. Guests call for a golf cart no matter the location, and you'll be whisked to wherever you need to go. The golf carts may be the resort highlight for some kids. There are elevators and ramps throughout the resort as well.
A $5 shuttle is available to take guests to the sister resort, Marina Fiesta, downtown. The shuttle runs hourly.
A car rental agency is also located onsite.
For Mom and Dad
The onsite spa is small, but a great place for the adults to relax with a massage, facial treatment or manicure or pedicure. The sister resort, Marina Fiesta, offers a larger spa with the addition of a salon.
Several golf courses can be found within a short distance of the resort.
