I don’t think I’d stay here again, I was only here for 2nights(my day of check in was my actual birthday) due to the rest of my party staying at the Riu Reggae I was unable to stay at their location because it was sold out but here I was highly disappointed...my issues were the water in the room could be hotter it was warm at best both days I showered there was sand in the bottom of the shower that I cleaned out myself (still put a towel in there to stand on while I showered though)...there were small bugs crawling all over the night stand next to the bed I woke up in the middle of the night to at least 3 crawling in the bed (after I thought I had killed them all) I pray to god I didn’t bring any home they were also on my phone in the morning when I woke up...the furniture in the room was dirty (stains you could see clear as day) it should definitely be upgraded the only reason I did not bring this to the staffs attention is because my stay was so short I didn’t want to bother with the headache...the MALE staff members should be LESS AGGRESSIVE when they see a woman on grounds that they assume is alone...3-4 different male staff members made me feel VERY uncomfortable with their advantages and wouldn’t stop even after I said I was in a relationship I literally had to walk away to stop the conversation...that is very inappropriate in a place of business! I will say the food & drinks on grounds were good, the beach/pool area although small is nice and there’s a separate beach area across the water which was nice to relax. Also the staff at my check in & check out were very pleasant & nice...CLIFF who was one of the cab drivers was a complete gentleman he even showed me places to eat in the area after I was told I couldn’t join my party at the Riu for dinner unless I paid a $90 dollar fee which I was not doing...outside of those positives I was completely disappointed with my stay and probably wouldn’t stay again unless I was guaranteed a different type of experience!
We’re here at the moment..sadly leaving tomorrow but it won’t be our last visit here-it’s paradise!
We have 3 kids with us, 14,10 and 6 and we’ve all loved it.
It’s so clean and almost no smoking throughout which was great for us. The food and drinks and entertainment was always good.
One downside was that they have a $60 soiling charge if your child wets the bed (mind did after a long day and too much fizzy pop) which I think is rotten in a family hotel bug a small price to pay for paradise
