Location is great! Hotel has a good breakfast rooms are very spacious, quite and clean. Staff was very helpful. Your across the street from the subway and Readers Market. Enjoyed my stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Location - NOT so great on service.

The Home2 Suites in Philadelphia has a perfect location. Walkable to many of the4 historic sites including Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. We chose this hotel because of the location and our past experience staying at other Home2 Suites. We made our reservations on July 7th for a one king, one bedroom suite for a stay from September 10th to the 17th. We checked in on September 10th and proceeded to our room. When we got there we heard voices coming from the room. There were two people in there who had a dog with them. I remembered seeing the lady when we checked in asking for a different room. They were leaving and assured us they had not touched anything. We went ahead and went into the room and unpacked. Then – we noticed the bed looked awfully small for a king. But many of the hotel kings seem much smaller than ours at home. We went to get something to eat and decided to stop at the desk to ask about the bed size in our room. They checked and it was a queen. I had to show them the confirmation to prove we had reserved a king. Even though we reserved the room two months ahead they did not have a king one bedroom available. They said they would have one the next night. We would have to spend the night in that room, pack up our things the next day to move to the next room or they would give us a $25 a night discount on the current room.. We did not like the option of packing but said we would do it but they would have to move our things. We went to the room, checked the bed and decided we could manage on a queen for a week. I went back to the desk and told them we would take their offer and stay in the room. That night the toilet kept self flushing every half hour. Not conducive to sleep. We reported it in the morning and they said they would fix it. We went out sightseeing and when we came back to our room the toilet was still self flushing. We reported it and they sent someone up. The guy said he was told there was a different problem. He did fix it. Day 3 the shampoo dispenser in the shower leaked all over the shower floor which made the floor very slippery. I left the cover on the bathroom counter as a hint. They did fix it but the dispensers are really flimsy and not easy to use. Each day we wondered what we would find. One day we would not have coffee pods for the Keurig, another no disposable cups, another no hand towels in the bathroom, etc . We did start checking for what was not replenished and either asked the front desk or if housekeeping was on the floor we would ask for the item from their cart. We even encountered a large garbage bag right in front of the door to our room. We had to either move it or step around it. Even though the rooms were clean, the housekeeping staff leaves much to be desired. Not this hotels strong suit. Some of the front desk staff were friendly and helpful and some did not seem to care. Loved the location, but if we were ever in Philly again we would look for someplace else to stay.
