Located in a converted mansion, the 40-room Hotel Grano de Oro is just big enough to feature a good restaurant, but small enough to have a friendly attitude. All rooms are comfortably furnished, and some have private patios. The two-room family suite accommodates five people.

We were booked by Journey Latin America to stay one night in San Jose at The Grano de Oro hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable.
We were offered a reservation for dinner and booked as the hotel gets very busy.
My wife had Sea Bass in a cardamon sauce and I also had Sea Bass with a nut crust. Both were magical.
I would stay here again if we came back.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff is so friendly and the food at the restaurant was amazing. I did not enjoy the area around the hotel at all but we were only there one night so stayed in for the most part.
