Historic Hotel Along Hwy 50

by tptraveler11

I stayed in Ely for the night when I rode the annual Ghost Train. I chose the Hotel Nevada because I'm a sucker for historic hotels. This place was right as I came in from highway 50, you can't miss it. Room was reasonably priced and big enough for myself. Keurig coffee maker, flatscreen tv, all the modern amenities for a place built in 1929. They give you a voucher for a basic breakfast at Denny's. All in all a great stay with plenty of old time photos of the local area scattered throughout the halls.

Don’t do it!!!

This place has seen better days... Room had things that didn’t work, had to change rooms, ended in a smaller room with more things that didn’t work. Parts of the room were definitely not clean. The room shook every time someone used the stairs nearby. Cramped and uncomfortable. Front desk staff was less than bright And not even that. Nor were they particularly friendly. The free breakfast in the Denny’s in the casino is nothing special and the waitress couldn’t multitask if she had to Save her life. Glad to be back on the road and not there.
