This is my second time staying at Hotel Zaza in the Museum District - a home away from home with attentive staff and outstanding room and dining options. My room - a king size room was on a higher floor as per my request providing a great view from the balcony. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Furnishings are new and the the dark colors make you feel very at home. The breakfast is outstanding at The Monarch. I also ordered room service after a grueling day in Houston and it was perfect - food was very hot and brought to the room quickly. I arrived every evening to a warm and inviting staff. Mark Flores was great and very accommodating with my requests. Porters are happy to help with bags and are very friendly. Amenities are new and super clean. Towels and bedding are exceptional and super clean - mattress is firm and provided me with much needed rest. The housekeeping staff is also extremely friendly and responsive - preparing morning coffee each day for all floors. I would love to spend more time relaxing here and hope to make this my destination should I be able to spend vacation time there. The hotel is VERY quiet and I worked one full day in my room with no interruptions or disruptions. I would recommend this hotel to business travelers and vacationers. The local museums in walking distance are outstanding with impressive collections and exhibitions.
My husband and I stayed here while apartment hunting before his move to Houston in Sept. We were in a large suite with great amenities , huge dining table, and sofa, large bath, great views and bedroom. We ate in the restaurant several times for breakfast and wonderful food and service. We enjoyed the pool , food and drinks pool side, We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant which is excellent. It is close to the train/metro line , the park where I ran each morning, the Museums , and Rice University.
