The Hyatt Place Madison/Verona is located about 20 minutes outside of downtown Madison, Wisconsin. Its location feels somewhat remote, but because it’s just off of Highway 151, families can easily get anywhere they need to be. Plus, there are a few restaurants nearby — a few of which are within walking distance.

The hotel itself is a fantastic choice for families visiting Madison, with an indoor swimming pool, free Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast, and onsite dining options for lunch and dinner. We love the outdoor fire pits, too — they’re the perfect place to unwind after a Badgers game!

Hyatt Place is exceptional.

by G73411568S

This hotel is exceptional in value, comfort and ambiance. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. The lobby is spacious and inviting and very bright with the clean, crisp colors and design. The patio area has a huge long "fireplace" with many chairs for seating, although, we didn't use it because the weather was cold and windy. My room was very comfortable with a snug couch in the corner of my king bed suite. The room had everything I needed and the bathroom has very good lighting and was very clean. I would love to come back soon to spend more time there to enjoy this beautiful hotel.

Beautiful, Clean, and NEW

This hotel is lovely and a great place to stay if visiting for Epic since it is so close. Two restaurants in walking distance but otherwise, will need to get a shuttle to anything else. Friendly staff and nice hot breakfast each morning.

Planning & Tips

All About the Extras

Wi-Fi is complimentary to guests of the hotel.

Fitness Center
The hotel's fitness center -- which overlooks the indoor pool -- features several cardio machines, as well as a universal weight training machine, free weights and a bench. The gym is open 24/7; a hotel key card is required for access.

The Art of Smart Timing

The Hyatt Place Madison/Verona is busy year-round -- especially on college football weekends (when many of downtown Madison's hotels sell out).

Getting There

The hotel offers free shuttle service to and from Dane County Regional Airport, between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily. For more service options, check General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, about 1.5 hours away.

Getting Around

You can utilize the hotel's free airport shuttle to and from the property and get an Uber to area attractions, but it probably makes more sense to rent your own vehicle.

For Mom and Dad

While grandma and grandpa take the kids to the pool, walk across the parking lot for a nightcap at The Verona Woods.
