Jokes about adult beverages aside, this independently-run motel in the Monadnock region of New Hampshire is perfectly accommodating for children, with double rooms with two full-sized beds with firm and comfortable mattresses, and a range of amenities including fridge, microwave, coffeemaker and HD flatscreen TV. The rooms are modern and clean, and furnishings a cut above what you might expect for the price.

The motel is located just outside the cutesy village of Peterborough, sandwiched between the main road and the Contoocook River. It’s right around the corner from New England’s favorite mountain for hiking, Mount Monadnock, and a short drive to Crotched Mountain Ski Area; the motel offers package deals on lift tickets. In addition, it offers a continental breakfast in the morning and complimentary snacks during the day.

Great Accommodations

We were pleasantly surprised on how nice the Jack Daniels Motor Inn is. It is a cute place tucked along a river bank with plenty of parking. Staff was great at check in and they provide snacks in the office. Room was well clean and good size. We had a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in the room. A USB hub located on the night stand to easily plug in phones is a great convenience. Loved the large shower stall, with the supplied soaps already in the shower. Would love to stay again if we ever visit the area.

We stay here every time we visit family here. Wonderful helpful staff. Clean rooms and great location close to the cutest little town ever.
If you are looking for a Marriott this is not for you. If you love nostalgia and the small town atmosphere this is the place for you.
