Nice digs

We showed up without reservation (our MO) and were given a choice between two rooms. We took one of two 3rd floor rooms at the top of a skinny spiral staircase on the same floor as the terrace. If you had a mess of large heavy bags, you might need help. We easily carried our packs to the room. It was new. Excellent choice with the window open all night. Plenty of privacy and lots of fresh air. Helpful staff. Close to zocalo etc....I'd stay in that room again, no questions asked.

A charming, perfect experience

Six friends visiting Oaxaca for a week long vacation. La Casa de Maria was a wonderful choice! It is centrally located walking distance to the main church and garden where everything is happening, el Zocolo. Ricardo , the manager of Casa de Maria is amazingly helpful and speaks English. Not only is la Casa lovely but incredibly clean. Ricardo does so much, including assisting with the delicious coffee, breakfast and meal of the day. Our stay at La Casa was extremely economical and we thank Ricardo for enhancing our experience.
