This all-suite hotel housed in an historic 18th century building is in the Lower Town of the Old City. The suites, which range from 400 to 950 square feet, have kitchenettes and microwaves. The larger ones also have pullout couches, typically best for one child or two small ones.

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. A short walk from the pier, we had no trouble walking there from the ship while hauling two large suitcases and two carry ons. Upon check in the receptionist was so personable and helpful, he even upgraded our room since we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The room was spectacular with a kitchenette, waterfall shower, and a comfortable king size bed. They even had chocolates on the bed and a towel animal to welcome us. Location was perfect for exploring Old Town Quebec and the cafes and shops nearby.
Down the street there is an Italian restaurant, ll Matto, which served some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had.
We highly recommend this hotel and it will be our go to place if we have the opportunity to visit Quebec City again.
My husband and I stayed at L'Hôtel Port-Royal for 6 nights in September 2019. We HIGHLY recommend it. Our stay was amazing, and our room was beautiful: hardwood floors, a kitchenette with everything you could ever need, a super friendly staff, a beautiful view of Basse-Ville, an enormous king size bed etc. We would definitely stay there again. (Wish we could live there! LOL.)
