Great night in the old city! We arrived a bit early to find our room available. We were able to settle in and relax a bit before heading out to the festivities. We walked the city visiting St alexandre’s pub, the chateaux pub, finally having dinner at st Patrick’s. Lovely evening!
I had stayed in the Hotel Manoir Victoria many years ago so knew, more or less, what to expect. What I hadn’t expected was the tasteful refurbishment made to the hotel. Our room was attractive and functional with a comfortable bed, more than adequate storage, and a spacious bathroom complete with heated floor - a real bonus - and a lovely, hot shower. The hotel is within easy walking distance of most of the major tourist sites and some very good restaurants. An added bonus for us was its close proximity to the train station which we accessed on foot within mere minutes. So relaxing to take the train on to Ottawa, our second stop on this vacation. Wish we could travel by train more often!
