Reviews

A great hotel in a great location.

by travelcriticdurham

Our holiday advisor recommended this hotel. We were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived in our car, we were treated with the utmost courtesy & professionalism. We had literally pulled up & help was at hand. The valet dealt with our bags & our car was taken away to a secure parking area. Check in was quick & efficient. So within minutes of arriving we were in our room with bags & everything sorted. We had a lovely double queen room on the 4th floor. Our room was 40 foot long (12 m) & 12 feet wide (3.7 m), which iare very generous sizes. The beds were sumptuous & bathroom had been well thought out. It had a lovely TV, refreshments & a well stocked fridge. The location is excellent & there is a shop for pastries etc & the Chez Boulay-bistro boreal is a treat, if you can get a reservation! The staff are really caring & go out of their way to help. Rooms are very well serviced by professional & caring people.
Don't judge the the hotel by it's frontage, there are lovely surprises waiting for you inside!

Watch Those Stairs

This is adequate hotel in the mid price range that is easily accessible to tourist attraction either by walking or the bus.

PROs: Close to many restaurants, public transport and clean rooms

CONs: Small gym, indoor pool was meh, so-so housekeeping and the long flight of upward stairs from the street to the lobby (if you are tired or have mobility issues ....this will be a problem)
