Had to go for a funeral and the staff were so friendly, it eased the pain. The Bon Homme Carnival had just ended. Skiing is always available and ea visit to the ice hotel is interesting, but this is th eplace to stay if you want to be central. Located in old Quebec, the hotel is modern, with old world charm. Rooms are well appointed, have just what is needed. Beds are very comfortable. The hotel uses Boulay Restaurant for their dining room and WOW, the food is incredible. Utilizing Canadian foods and foods from the Boreal forest near by, they create a delight for the palate.
I was there for three nights and a snow storm made travel a challenge. Staff were very good at getting taxis and ensuring I got safely into them.
Boulay also has a coffee shop by the main entrance. Decadent pastries, unusual sweets and sandwiches complement the coffee. Its a small place with a small staff, so be prepared to wait longer than the chain store next door, but the wait is worth it.
Stayed for the weekend during Christmas time and was more then pleased. The hotel was extremely clean with a good modern/vintage feel. The hotel was very busy within the restaurants but couldn't hear anything from the rooms. Hotel staff was very nice and was able to exchange a small amount of money for us to get started. Down fall with the hotel is there was no where to self park, therefore valet was required but was not included so we had to pay extra. Its at a great location from downtown old Quebec, walking distance within everything! Would absolutely stay again.
