Stingy hotel

by kzr629

The front desk personnel and concierge were all charming and pleasant and the two young ladies working the restaurant for breakfast were pleasant as well. That's where the enjoyable experience ended. As a Bonvoy platinum member I expected better.
To start, my room's view was an air shaft. A photo of the view is attached.
There is no lounge, so they comp you by giving 10 dollar certificates for use in their restaurant. I believe that most members using a hotel lounge do so to enjoy a drink before dinner. The compensation certificate offered is only good for food, not drink. In addition, it's only offered weeknights. For the foregoing reasons, the certificate is therefore worthless.
On the 2nd day of our 4 night stay, our beds were made up, the towel refreshed, and NO toiletries provided.
The room has a nice grey wood, or wood patterned tile, floor. Nice until I realized that my white socks had turned grey from walking on it. It seems that the floor is not cleaned that often.
There is a continental breakfast, as promised. If you want anything hot, like eggs, potatoes, or sausage, it will be $8 extra.
All things considered, I will stay at the Hilton 1 block away the next time I'm in Quebec

Wonderful birthday celebration

by Pina D

This Marriott property is exceptionally well located and the staff are just amazing! Emilie, the front desk manager, went all out to accommodate changing our reservations due to bad weather and she ensured a wonderful stay to celebrate my mom's birthday. I certainly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Quebec.
