Such a gem! Would definitely return!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel after the hotel we had originally booked had to cancel our reservation with less than two weeks notice. And honestly we are SO GLAD we ended up here! This charming hotel is right along the edge of the walled city and for our first trip to the city it was so lovely to wake up each morning with a view of the esplanade and the Parliament building. It is in perfect walking distance to everything in the the Old City but also, because it is just on the edge it was easy to take the car and head out of the city to attractions like the Montmorency Falls.

The only thing to be aware of is that it is definitely at the top of a steep hill if you are walking to and from the shops and restaurants each day. But you;ll get your exercise in!

Wonderful stay

We have never been to Quebec and we chose this hotel based on reviews. It was near perfect. It is situated near many restaurants and shopping ( Rue Saint-Louis) as well as the many museums, monuments and parks of Vieux Quebec.
The hotel is small. The staff is exceptional. Parking is in a lot across the street. The desk staff will provide you a parking pass. An area is provided at the front door where you can stop to load/unload. There is no lift or luggage carts.
We arranged in advance for a room on the first floor.
The rooms are small and very quaint but comfortable. We had our own private bath area and a cable TV with several channels including the primary American ones. Our room had a door which opened to a large balcony outside. There was no m’wave or fridge in the room but the staff provided us with ice for our cooler.
Coffee is provided in the morning near the front desk.
The front door locks at night but your room key has a chip that allows access.
This was a lovely 3 night stay and we would love to return to Quebec and stay here again.
