This was our 3rd time staying. First 2 were good. This time was awful! The tub had a ring all the way around of mold, room smelled musty and screen in the main door had a large hole in it.Glass of this main door was covered with children's handprints both inside and out. Also a noisy outdoor bar is right along the back of the building we were staying in. What happened?
We’ve been staying here every September for years. I would not pay high season prices for this place. You will be mad about it. But after Labor Day you get a great price ($50-$60 a night) for a basic, quiet, easy going motel. I would recommend staying in a king sized room. They are in their own building which doesn’t seem to have as many issues as the other buildings.
— free Congdon’s donuts every morning. This is seriously enough reason to stay here in my opinion
— trolley to beach & town stops in parking lot many times a day. No need to pay for beach parking!
— you can bring your dog
— walking distance to a few decent restaurants
— friendly staff who help you or leave you alone if you want
— pool, tennis court, fire pit, lots of grass and trees
— most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. Ever. Last year we went to Reny’s and got a foam mattress topper which helped a lot. But seriously, they really need to buy some new beds!!! It’s the only reason I consider staying elsewhere
— it’s not luxurious in any way.
— no microwaves
— crappy WiFi.
Overall it’s a nice place for me because I can afford to stay there a week and spend my money on lobster rolls.
