Reviews

Pleasant, affordable place in the heart of the historic downtown

by SantoGabacho

Really lovely courtyard, which you can see in travelers' reviews, full of birds. Big suites, with "living room" area including fridge, stove, and sink. Right in the middle of the historic colonial center, with beautiful old buildings and squares - just a couple blocks from the Malecon in one direction, and Plazuela Machado in the other, both being hubs of social activity. Lots of good restaurants within a short walking distance, including El Presidio, Hector's Bistro and El Aljibe de San Pedro.

A great part of town to feel a part of "real" Mexico in Mazatlan, as opposed to the more modern touristy Golden Zone area to the north (but easy to flag down an inexpensive pulmonia for a short ride there), and also close to Playa Sur where you can catch a boat to the long, laid-back beach of Isla de la Piedra (highly recommended).

It's not fancy, as the price attests, but clean, comfortable, and convenient - even charming. My only warning is if you are someone who finds it hard to sleep, or hard to get back to sleep once you wake, there can outbursts of music from passing cars at all hours, probably especially on weekends and holidays when people are out partying.

Great Hotel!

The location is amazing! there are plenty of restaurants, bars, clubs, live music and the beach is 5 mins walking away.
The area is very Noisy so if you are sensitive to noise I recommend ear plugs.
Veronica the hotel manager is super nice and helpful with everything you need!
