It has been the worst Park Royal I have stayed at!!! I would never come back to this resort, No music by the pool, wet towels, NO HAPPY HOUR! Pool is in need of repairs, the sales people will bother you in the pool, in stead of only on the beach! Very annoying! NO hot water in the shower in our room! NO TV IN ENGLISH!!! NO SAFE IN OUR ROOM!!! The A.C. is so so. No one's seems too speak English or care to want to speak English! NO chairs on the balcony. Couch is poor. Stove barely heats water on the stove. There are other things, but Park Royal Standards are not here. They tell us, New Management.... You can see the staff is sad, No business here for them. I ALSO found the locals come with their beer and drinks in coolers, on the beach and then DRINK it in the pool! Babies in diapers, etc. Not paying too use the area. Staff do not rake the beach, clean up, or set up umbrellas for use. No real activities for the guests.
Now the nice stuff! The sun is consistent, about 32 everyday. The ocean is dangerous at this time of year. Did not see a single person swimming here for the week. There is Para-sailing, and restaurants close by. There is a Wal-Mart here also if you need stuff close by. We are not the type of folks to complain about the resorts, but this one for you to stay away from.
My brother is an owner and they screwed him over to stay here..he had to pay extra on top of his fees..i think maybe its just Mazatlan because the Park Royal in Cancun and Cozamel were very accommodating, and would go out of there way to make you happy.
